I had a TMJ consultation appointment in November 2025. Before scheduling, I was told over the phone that my insurance was accepted. At the appointment, I was only asked to pay $10 and was told that this was my share—no further explanation was provided about coverage or billing. Six months later, I received an additional bill for $94. When I contacted their billing department, I was told that they do not work with medical insurance. This is something that should have been clearly communicated upfront, especially since TMJ is typically handled under medical, not dental, insurance. It is very frustrating that I was not informed of this at the time of scheduling or during the visit. Instead, I was simply told to pay my portion, with no transparency about potential additional charges. What is even more concerning is that when I questioned the bill, I was told it would be sent to collections after two more notices. This lack of transparency and poor handling of billing is extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this practice based on my experience.

Dr. Perez did my daughter’s wisdom teeth removal and I was very impressed with how he and the office handled the entire process from start to finish. He really listens well, is very easy to talk to, an expert doctor and goes out of his way to provide the best care possible. We originally went to this practice for a second opinion and then decided to switch to Dr. Perez to perform the surgery as he seemed much more knowledgeable. We are both so glad that we made that choice.
